Who are GDK Entertainments?

GDK Entertainments formerly traded as WotUWnt2Hear. In 2009, an exciting rebranding took place and in 2011, we are still going from strength to strength.

 

How much do you charge?
GDK Entertainments do not have a set price list as we believe each party/booking is different. Like our clients, no two bookings are the same! We tailor make our package to fit your requirements or your budget.

 

Do you have Insurance for the Events you undertake?
As with every aspect of the work we are asked to do, GDK Entertainments ensure all correct rules and regulations are followed. This being the case and to put your mind at ease, you can verify our Insurance Validity here.

 

Can we meet before our event?
Here at GDK Entertainments, we understand that getting the entertainment just right is a big decision, particularly for a Wedding. With this in mind one of the team can meet you at our office, home or your chosen venue. This gives you a chance to ask questions and us to make sure we understand your needs.

 

Will you confirm our event in writing?
All bookings at GDK Entertainments are issued with an event pack. This contains a contract, a request list (if applicable), an invoice and a feedback sheet. In the coming months GDK Entertainments are launching an online system for your event, meaning you can book GDK Entertainments via our Website. The more traditional way of email and/or picking up the phone to one of the team will also be on option.

 

Do I need to pay a booking fee?
For every booking GDK Entertainments takes, we request 25% non-refundable booking fee. Don’t worry, as soon as the payment is received you will receive a receipt for this and will be deducted off your final balance.

 

How long does it take you to setup?
Typically it takes 1 hour and 30 Minutes for to set up for your disco. This may vary for any extra services you have requested, and an individual time will be given to you if this is the case. For more information on Early or All Day Set Up (For Weddings) please see our "How We Work" page.

 

Do you need any tables or power points at the venue?
GDK Entertainments do not require any tables from your venue, as we are fully self-contained. However, we require a minimum of two 13amp UK sockets of where we need to setup.

 

The venue needs to see your PLI, PAT & Risk Assessments.
We liaise with the venue and deal with this ourselves so you have nothing to worry about. All our team are CRB checked, and certificiates and insurance documents are available to view.

 

Can we choose our favourite songs for our event?
As informative as our website is, we do not have the space to list all 75,000 plus songs. However, we are sure that any song you request, can be played at the touch of a button using our state of the art system. To put your mind at ease, you are more than welcome to complete a song request list that come in the event pack, detailing perhaps you top 10 songs. Similar, there may be a song you really don't want us to play. Again, detail any such song/s and we shall take on board all your requests

 

How will GDK Entertainments be dressed for the ocassion?

On the request list GDK Entertainments send you in the event pack, there will be the tick box option of 1 – 5 on how you would like the DJ to be dressed. Were not like some DJ’s who come in jeans and a tshirt to perform at a wedding. Please note that sometimes we have to setup in something a bit more ‘casual’ but we will always get changed prior to your event commencing.

 

How often does GDK Entertainments use the microphone?

Again, its your event and you can have GDK involved as much as you like - just state in the event pack you shall return to us, how much you like the DJ to talk. There is a time for Peter Kay impersations and GDK Entertainments understand that this might not be at your event.

 

I’ve booked a band to play for a short time during the evening - do you work with other people?
Yes, GDK Entertainments are happy to work alongside any additional entertainment you may have booked. We can also act as a compere if you wish at no extra charge.
